Thankfully, your walls don’t have to stay empty! And you don’t have to spend a ton of money to get the look that you love. 

My favorite way to add art to a home is to buy digital art prints online. There are hundreds of beautiful, modern prints out there at very affordable prices. I’m talking a few dollars each! 

Once you buy a digital art print, you can print it out in just about any size and as many times as you want!

How to Print Digital Art

First, buy a digital art file online. I suggest you make a folder on your computer to store all of your digital art files for quick reference.

Then, decide how large of a print you want. Once you know the size you need, you can easily print at home using your home printer. I recommend using a printer that has photo-quality printing with photo paper. 

If you are looking for an even better quality print, I would highly recommend going with a budget-friendly professional photo printer.

How to Frame Digital Art

Once your digital art is printed, it’s time to frame it. 

You can stick with a simple frame that already includes a mat board and just pop the print inside. Or you can remove the mat board completely and go for a different look with art that fills the entire frame. I also love the look of a floating piece of art in a clear frame. 

Another option is to custom cut your own mat board to fit your art prints. This is especially useful if you are printing a very large piece of art for your home. Sometimes you’ll need a specifically sized mat to fit your frame and a specific sized photo space within the mat. 

For example, in our master bedroom, I wanted a really large mat with a smaller photo for a more modern look. I custom cut these mat boards at home.
