Get the Modern Classic Look for Less!
My favorite home decorating style is a mix of contemporary modern and classic traditional. I think the two styles pair so well together and create a fresh, and casual atmosphere in a home. Whenever I’m browsing through Pinterest, “Modern Classic” is a style that I see all throughout designer homes. I love the look, but I don’t love the price!
I’m a big believer that you can have a stylish home on a regular budget. There’s no reason that you need to spend $90 on a pillow cover (for example) in order to have a beautiful home. That’s just crazy! So, I decided it was time to start figuring out how I could get that modern classic look for less.
Today I’m sharing my favorite modern swing arm sconces.
Lately, I’ve been really excited about updating our Master Bedroom. It’s one of the rooms that we planned to work on right away after we moved in, but got pushed to the back burner because other areas of the house were more important.
The next idea that I have for that room is to create a pretty white grid board and batten feature wall. I think it would look amazing behind our upholstered bed.
Part of that feature wall would include some pretty swing arm sconce lights. I love the functionality and design of swing arm sconces, but sometimes I don’t love the price. Right now, there are some amazing, budget-friendly, modern options available that are totally my style. Here are some of my favorites!

Modern Swing Arm Sconces
This gorgeous set of sconces is at the top of my list for our master bedroom. I love the shape of the light shade and the matte black finish is amazing!
I also really like the polished nickel look. This finish is totally coming back, and this set of sconces is so pretty! These would look great in a glamorous room.
Brass is also coming back in style. This sconce would totally warm up a room, and the mini shade is adorable. I think this would look so fun in a playroom or a home office over some bookshelves.
This industrial sconce with a clear shade would look amazing with a pretty Edison bulb. I love the look of this sconce because it matches our kitchen island pendants. This would look great in a guest room or in an office.
I love the shape of the shade on this sconce. The blank finish is modern and the curved look keeps it a little playful. I think this would look so cute in a shared kids room!
This is another pretty black finish sconce with a cute shade. This one is very similar to the first set, but the bottom of the shade has a small rounded lip. I love this look because the light would be a little more exposed and you could show off an Edison bulb.
I hope you enjoyed my latest finds! Have a great week!
