Welcome new friend! I’m Christene and I am so glad you have found your way here!

Keys to Inspiration is my little corner of the internet where I share inspiring home decor, crafts, DIY, organizing ideas, and more.
I started the blog while we were in the middle of building our first home. We had been living in apartments for a while, and I was so eager to have an actual house. A place that we could customize and really make our own.
During the construction, I started searching online for ideas and plans for our new home and I just felt so inspired to be creative again. I have always been a creative person, but living in temporary places made me feel like I could never really make a space my own. Sure I would still create and try to make it feel more like a home, but I never really had the freedom to do whatever I wanted.
Once we got the keys to our new home, I felt like I finally had that freedom. The house was ours, and those keys to me represented the freedom to create anything that I was inspired by. They were my Keys to Inspiration!

This blog is filled with inspiration for all kinds of things…
Home Decor, Crafts, DIY Projects, Productivity Tips, Organizing Ideas, Budget Tips and lots more.
If you love all things home and creative, you are in the right place!

Since you are new, I thought it would be nice to get to know you a little and show you around the blog. So, grab a cup of coffee ☕ (because you know I’ve got my own mug right here) and I’ll give you a little tour.
What’s this blog all about?
I like to share all things related to home, creativity, and tips for everyday life. Before this blog, I was (and still am) a big reader of blogs! I just love them! I’ve always liked finding ideas from others and bringing them into my own life. But, I found out that what I love even more is sharing! I love helping others out. If I can share something I do in our home, and that helps you out, well that is just the best feeling ever!
Because of that, I share about all the things that I love. For example…
- I love making our house into a home
- I love when I can DIY something amazing for our home, step back and say “I did that!”
- I love crafting
- I love details, organizing, and creating order
- I love finding ways to be productive
- I love saving money and finding the best deals
- I love sharing tips that make life easier
If you love those things too…I think we are going to be great friends!

You also might want to start with some of the most popular posts. These are some of my reader’s favorite posts. I hope that you find them just as inspiring!

How I Organize my Meal Planning and Grocery Shopping – This is one of my all-time most popular blog posts. I shared in detail how I create a meal plan, make my grocery list, and keep everything organized. I even shared my unique printable worksheet which has both a calendar for planning and detachable grocery lists on the same sheet. It’s definitely one of my readers’ favorite printables!

The Easiest Way to Update Old Furniture – My very first furniture makeover happens to also be very popular with my readers! I found this old cabinet for $15 at a flea market and at first, I was a little intimidated to work on it. After doing some research, I found a paint that required basically no extra work. It was so easy to use and the results were amazing!

DIY Eucalyptus Wreath Tutorial – This live eucalyptus wreath was one of my earliest craft projects on the blog, and it continues to be one of my most popular posts. I created this stunning greenery wreath using a few supplies and a handful of eucalyptus bunches from Trader Joe’s. It is a beautiful wreath that can be made for just about any season.

Fresh and Modern Powder Room Reveal – One of the first big “room reveals” on the blog was actually a really small room – our Powder Room. We didn’t have a ton of space to work with, but we managed to create a beautiful room. It’s also got these styled shelves that are a big reader favorite. ]

DIY Wooden Custom Drawer Organizers – In an effort to get organized after we first moved into our home, we decided to create our own wooden organizers for the drawers in the kitchen. This tutorial is definitely a reader favorite and has made staying organized so much easier!
