Hi friends, and welcome back to my Christmas Home Tour! Yesterday was part 1 of the tour where I shared our living room all decorated for the holidays. If you missed it, you can see that post here.

Today is part 2 of the Christmas Home Tour, the kitchen.

Our kitchen is one of my favorite spaces in the house. The bright white cabinets make the room feel bright, airy, and clean. During the holiday season, I use my kitchen a lot for baking cookies and treats. It becomes my own little Christmas bakery!

Let’s start the tour of the kitchen.

I decided to keep things simple in the kitchen so that I had room for all the baking and cooking that I’ll be doing this holiday season. On the island, I put together a cute Christmas treats display that I think really make the room feel wintry and magical!

I spotted this white and wood tray at Target and knew that I had to have it! It matches perfectly with the other white and wood decorations that I have in the living room. Can do tell the theme that I’m loving right now? #whitesandwoods

I’m also loving the flocked tree look this year, and I think this little one fits perfectly with my kitchen. It looks all snowy and wintry!

The first Christmas cookies that I made this year are these amazingly rich Chocolate Crinkle Cookies. They are Ben’s favorite and he requests them all the time. I found the recipe from one of my favorite food blogs – Budget Bytes.

I piled the cookies high on my Christmas cookie plate and set out this cute Santa mug for some hot chocolate. And, to add to my bakery theme, I printed out this “Fresh Cookies” printable and popped it into a little frame. You can get this printable, and 9 other modern Christmas printables, for FREE here.

The star of the show in the kitchen is definitely this pretty wintry white gingerbread house.

Growing up, we used to make gingerbread houses every Christmas. They are so fun to make and decorate! This year I decided to create an all-white house with pretty details.

Gingerbread houses are not only a fun activity to create, but I think they make the best decorations! My snowy gingerbread house looks adorable next to the whimsical flocked tree.

I hung up my gingerbread men cookie garland on the front of the island. Not only does this cookie garland look adorable, but it also smells amazing! It’s a fun decoration that really makes the kitchen feel like a little Christmas bakery.

I kept the counters pretty clear because I didn’t want to create clutter. I’ll need all the counter space I can get for baking! But, I did bring out my favorite kitchen baking accessory because I just love the color!

To create this simple but colorful display, I filled a glass jar with some fake snow and a bunch of multicolored ornaments. Next to that, I just filled a mini hurricane vase with a bunch of candy canes! Perfect for grabbing a quick treat!

The best part about having an open floor plan is that I can see our Christmas tree from the kitchen! That little nook by the stairs really is the perfect spot for a tree.

I also get to enjoy this amazing view from the kitchen – the Christmas garland cascading down our staircase! I love how it looks from this side even more because of the bright white board and batten! You can read all about how I created this mixed-greenery look in this post.

I loved my “Gather” wooden sign so much that I didn’t want to take it down after fall was over. I decide to just repurpose it for the Christmas season by adding in a lantern and a pretty wooden Christmas tree.

Who says “gathering” is only for fall anyways? I think that Christmas is an even better season for gathering ???? I’m glad that I made the sign a neutral gray because it fits in perfectly with the gorgeous greenery!

I can’t get enough of this garland! I love how realistic the pine and the eucalyptus look! Sometimes I find myself just staring at it because it’s exactly what I pictured for our staircase!

  1. I love the real gingerbread you used! I can’t bake that well so I made faux gingerbread ornaments and houses for Christmas!
